IRVINE, CA – Jamboree Housing Corporation announced today that Michael N. Woodhart has been hired as President of Quality Development and Construction, Inc., a Jamboree entity established to provide technical consulting, design expertise, construction management and general contracting services for affordable housing communities developed by the company throughout California.
Irvine, CA-headquartered Jamboree is one of California’s leading community development organizations that specializes in providing affordable housing and resident services for families, seniors, veterans, and individuals with special needs. Currently, the company has $233 million in affordable housing projects in its development pipeline and a $1 billion asset portfolio that includes the development of and/or ownership interest in more than 7,400 homes in more than 75 California communities.
A key component of Jamboree’s Development Group, Quality Development and Construction brings specific design and construction expertise to bear on all Jamboree communities to enhance the quality and efficiency of design and construction activities, including the rehabilitation of acquired and existing properties.
Laura Archuleta, Jamboree president, said that as the dedicated, licensed general contractor for Jamboree projects, Woodhart and the team will bring general contracting capacity to Quality Development and Construction’s services as Jamboree continues to expand its property portfolio with the assistance of its construction and development partners and consultants. Additionally, it will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the highest industry standards and benchmarks such as energy efficiency and sustainability as well as other design and construction requirements and specifications unique to Jamboree properties.
“Quality Development and Construction was established as part of our corporate business strategy to expand our operational capacity and to provide the resources to pursue new opportunities that diversify our product portfolio,” said Archuleta. “Mike has the executive level experience and expertise to lead our Quality Development and Construction team as we grow and develop our project pipeline. His team’s involvement at every stage will result in a more collaborative outcome in both the design and construction of a property to achieve the best quality and optimum cost efficiencies.”
Quality Development and Construction also provides a range of consulting and management services beyond the design and construction role, including capital improvement project oversight and management of the rehabilitation of Jamboree’s existing property portfolio.
Woodhart’s 25 years of experience includes building nearly 2,500 units of market-rate and affordable family and senior multifamily housing in Southern California. Prior to joining Jamboree, he was a senior project manager with Portrait Homes, Inc., from 2006 to 2014, where he served as the company’s general contractor.
